  The role of the BIZ is to bring local businesses together to promote the area, to improve the District's physical appearance, to support events that attract people to the community, and to play an advocacy role for local business on issues of common concern.

Downtown

• Downtown Winnipeg BIZ

The Downtown BIZ site includes info on the many benefits of living downtown, services and transportation details and current happenings in the greater downtown area.

• Centreventure Development Corp.
  

CentreVenture Development expedites development and encourages new retail, housing and commercial ventures in the downtown area. They emphasize rejuvenation of heritage buildings and development of vacant or underutilized downtown property.

• Cdn Condo Inst. - MB Chapter CCI (Manitoba) serves as a central clearinghouse on condo issues and activities assisting members through education, workshops and technical assistance. Fire safety upgrading, realty taxes and other matters are discussed with those who can make changes.
